In October 1927, Mercedes Glietze became the first woman to swim the English Channel. Around her neck? The first Oyster Perpetual. The Oyster Perpetual was the first waterproof wristwatch to be brought to the market, the watch not only featured screw-down crown, but a screw-down caseback and front, a huge technological achievement for time. To this day, Oyster Perpetual is still the perfect introduction to the world of Rolex watches, with highly legible luminous dials and stylish Oyster bracelets, the watch embraces modernity while still carrying the brand's founding legacy.
This Rolex Oyster Perpetual 26 is crafted in Oystersteel and features a black dial with applied Chromalight index and a domed bezel. This watch is fitted to an Oyster bracelet with folding Oysterclasp.
This watch is a 2021 model and comes complete with Rolex box and papers and a 2-year Browns warranty.
