We would love to hear how your and Ed’s love story began. How did you two meet?
Ed and I met when he moved to London as part of a job relocation. We both had been single for a while and were actually more interested in being friends than anything else. We met on a cold autumn evening in November in Covent Garden for a meal and as the night went on it became more apparent to me that this would be the man I would marry (of course I didn’t tell him that!). Months flew by, I’d spent a month in Canada over Christmas and our bond continued to grow stronger but we never really discussed what we were. Until a very drunken meal where I drank multiple glasses of wine to pluck up the courage to ask Ed if we were in a relationship. He said of course we are and well the rest is history!
The Engagement - Can you describe your proposal to us?
The proposal was on my 26th birthday in our home. I was running late getting ready for a birthday meal Ed had organised. I came downstairs apologising how late I was and found Ed in our living room. He said I looked beautiful but something was missing and he got down on one knee, said the sweetest things and then asked me to marry him. It was the simple, romantic and most amazing proposal I could have asked for - just us in our home with our puppies.
The Ring - We’d love to hear how you discovered us and what your initial thoughts were when you found the perfect ring. Please share some details of your experience with Browns Family Jewellers.
We first came across Browns when googling for hidden halo engagement rings. I’d pointed out the ring to Ed on instagram in the past. We both always knew he wanted my help with the engagement ring as he wanted to make sure it was what I wanted but I wouldn’t know when he actually planned to propose! The fleur hidden halo engagement ring is absolutely stunning and the team went above and beyond to help us find the perfect oval diamond to sit in the setting. The attention to detail was outstanding from every single person at Browns. Even when purchasing our wedding bands with Browns, it was seamless.
The Dress - Tell us about your wedding dress. It was absolutely stunning!
I always knew I wanted a Galia Lahav wedding dress and I had seen Fabiana on social media in the past but never thought it would be ‘the one’ for me. I actually had my eye on their Gia strapless ballgown. I found my dress at the incredible Browns Bride in London. Fabiana was the 3rd dress I tried on and I just knew this was the one. The detailing, the sparkle and the way it made me feel. It was both feminine and sexy all in one! The most beautiful dress I’d ever seen.
The Morning - Can you describe how you felt on the morning of your special day? Who was there with you during those moments (your bridal party)?
The morning of the day I felt calm. I’d woken up early, had room service breakfast and just waited for people to arrive at my suite. I started a girls playlist, we ordered a bottle of champagne and started the morning right. My bridal party including my sister (MOH) and my mum were there with me. It was so fun and relaxed. I couldn’t wait to get down the aisle which happened to be my favourite part of the day!
